Georgia is the state with most high school dropouts and poorest record in the percentage of high school graduates. Georgia attributes these poor records to the state’s vast economic challenges ever since the Great Recession period. In sum, it is clear from the report that the graduation rates as per ethnic groups in the U.S have increased since the implementation of the NCLB act. Evidence from the data that was statistically proven, it was realized that the African American graduation rate was at 44%; white’s graduation rate was 61% and Latinos was 32%. From the analysis all states in the U.S need to ensure that all students attend schools in order to increase graduation rates. Additionally, policymakers need to ensure that all ethnic groups attend schools to avoid the increase in number of school dropout as it is the case in Georgia.
